According to those previous studies continous infusion of into the
cerebral ventricle in rats causes learning and memory deficits accompanied by
a reduction of choline acetyltransferase activity, dysfunction of cholinergic
and dopaminergic system, the decrease in the nicotine- and KCl-induced
stimulation, furthermore; the impairment in long term potential in the CA1
field of the hippocampus slices [17-20]. Therefore, this animal model of AD is\
 a useful screening tool for AD and investigating the
mechanism of action of the medication.
                                                                                
                                                                                
We ultilized YCTMT (an Chinese ancient decoction) treating induced
AD-like rats by oral route. Our results showed YCTMT can improve
induced learning impairment via increased the expression of ACh and NMDRs,
decreased formation of plagues simutaneously. Besides, could
influence on the expression of ACh and NMDARs. Take together, we infer that
the effects of the effects of increasing expression of  ACh and NMDARs of
YCTMT are related to neutralize the induced toxicity.
